Try to stick to those instructions as closely as possible as people seemed to have fucked their md players when messing about with Service mode but navigating the menu is easy if you just stick to that erasing function. Also the parts where it said press Enter, I pressed > instead. To access the Service mode for me, I had to hold the Group button instead of -vol. The instructions were a little different for me. This worked for me when I had bought some used MDs off ebay that couldn't be erased. This involves going into a special menu called Service Mode which can be a bit daunting.įollow the instructions from this thread. If that doesn't work, probably due to the DRM, there is another way to erase the md. If you go into the edit option, you can erase the whole track. You can try deleting the tracks on the minidisc recorder itself. There is a tab on the bottom of the md and it should be closed. Unreal!įirst make sure the minidisc isn't write protected. The player itself is pretty beat up, many scratches and nicks and faded white, but once I put that AA battery in, it booted up and played the first song like it never sat in a box 10 years.

So what are my options for using the minidisc? are the discs basically useless as they don't hold music that I want to listen to anymore? I can't even delete the songs on the device as I used OPENMG to import them on in the first place. Since this isn't the original laptop, which I also don't own anymore, I have the pop up stating that I can read only all my minidiscs. Things were rolling along until I hit a snag. I have the original OPENMG Jukebox v2.2 disc which I installed on an old laptop running windows xp. Well now I am doing some serious spring cleaning and have found my box of minidisc paraphernalia. Once I got my first smart phone, I retired the minidisc player. Please note system requirements prior to upgrading your current application.Got my Sony minidisc player in 2005 I think, somewhere around grade 11 or 12, it is the sport model MZ-S1, I used for running, biking, hiking, fishing anything and everything.
